Akasa Air Flight Diverted to Ahmedabad Due to Security Threat

Earlier today, an Akasa Air B737-8 flight (QP 1719) traveling from Delhi to Mumbai was diverted to Ahmedabad's Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport following a security alert on board. The flight, carrying 186 passengers and six crew members, landed safely at 10:13 AM IST.

Akasa Air followed all necessary security protocols. The pilot, in accordance with procedure, diverted the aircraft to the nearest airport and landed safely. All passengers were deplaned, and a thorough security check is currently underway.
