On June 5, to mark World Environment Day, Turkish Airlines launched its sustainability brand 'Tomorrow On-Board.' The event, held at Istanbul Airport, featured sustainable in-flight products and services, along with items made from recycled aircraft components. Levent Konukcu, Chief Investment & Strategy Officer, delivered remarks during the ceremony.

"The Tomorrow On-Board initiative reflects our dedication to minimizing our environmental footprint and advancing sustainability practices throughout our operations, aiming to leave a more sustainable world for future generations. With this initiative, we underscore our commitment to providing transparent information and data, ensuring that our sustainability endeavors are readily understandable and accessible to all stakeholders."

As an integral component of the launch celebration, Turkish Airlines curated an exhibition titled "41.2607° North and 28.7424° East." This exhibition showcased a diverse array of artworks, encompassing paintings, sculptures, and installations, all crafted by four distinct artists. The artworks, which reflect a variety of creative expressions and mediums, aimed to underline the airline's commitment to sustainability and innovation. By engaging multiple artists and presenting their unique perspectives, the exhibition not only highlighted the creative reuse of materials but also reinforced the thematic linkage between geographical coordinates and the global vision of sustainability inherent in the 'Tomorrow On-Board' initiative.

The artworks, crafted from materials like decommissioned aircraft parts, flight crew uniforms and bags, cabin carpets, and seat fabrics, highlight the aspiration for a more sustainable world. The exhibition will be continued on display for two weeks at Istanbul Airport.

The 'Tomorrow On-Board' initiative by Turkish Airlines is designed to emphasize the company's future objectives and present a comprehensive vision to both passengers and investors, embedding it as a core aspect of the corporate ethos. This initiative has been formulated with several key objectives: enhancing the brand's perception, ensuring a unified message and visual identity across all sustainability communications, regularly updating investors on sustainability efforts, and facilitating passenger engagement in sustainability initiatives.
