Eurowings Partners with Lufthansa Technik for A320 Fleet Maintenance

Eurowings has partnered with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) for the base maintenance of its Airbus A320-family fleet. According to the MRO provider, it will allocate two dedicated lines at its Budapest facility in Hungary and an additional two lines at its Sofia site in Bulgaria for airframe checks on approximately 40 Eurowings aircraft during the winter seasons in the coming years.

LHT also mentions that it has previously provided component and engine support, as well as digital services, to Lufthansa's low-cost subsidiary.

Matthias Gruber, Eurowings' Head of Technical Fleet Management and Managing Director of Eurowings Technik, expressed satisfaction with the new base maintenance agreement, highlighting that it will help maintain the high standards of technical reliability for their aircraft. He added, "This partnership also offers us the necessary flexibility to prepare our fleet for the summer season during winter."

LHT notes that Eurowings operates an exclusive fleet of over 100 Airbus A320-family aircraft, comprising of the A319, A320, A320neo, A321 and A321neo models.
