Brad White, Senior Vice President of Global Parts Distribution and Programs at Textron Aviation, highlighted the strategic advantage of the center's central location in the United States. He emphasized the company's ability to ship parts overnight, ensuring timely delivery to customers who place orders by 6 p.m. the preceding day.
Referred to as P43, the expanded facility now spans 245,000 square feet and stocks approximately 150,000 active part numbers for various Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker aircraft models. Its reach extends to over 170 countries, supported by satellite warehouses and operations worldwide. Notably, Textron Aviation's aftermarket business contributes over 20% of the company's total revenues.
White underscored the efficiency gained from consolidating the warehouse operations, previously scattered across multiple buildings in Wichita, into a single, streamlined footprint. This consolidation not only enhances operational efficiency but also enables the repurposing of other buildings for additional company requirements. For instance, Textron has established a new hiring and learning center on its East Wichita campus, utilizing the vacated spaces effectively.
