The skies between Australia and France have finally reopened for Qantas! After a 20-year hiatus, the Australian flag carrier has triumphantly returned to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) with a brand new nonstop service.

This exciting development not only expands Qantas' European network but also offers travellers a direct connection between Perth (PER) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). You can ditch the layovers and enjoy a seamless journey aboard Qantas' modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The new service boasts impressive stats:

  • Nonstop flights: Perth to Paris in just 17 hours and 20 minutes, making it the third-longest route in the Qantas network.
  • Frequency: Initially operating four times per week during the peak season (perfect timing for the 2024 Paris Olympics!), the service will transition to a comfortable three-weekly schedule from mid-August onwards.
  • Capacity: The 236-seat Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner ensures a comfortable travel experience for all passengers.

This relaunch isn't just about convenience; it coincides perfectly with the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Qantas, true to its tradition dating back to 1948, will be the official carrier for Australia's Olympic and Paralympic teams, transporting them to France in style.

Initially, the Perth to Paris route will operate four times a week during the peak summer season, catering to the Olympic rush. From mid-August, the schedule will shift to three flights per week, still providing a significant increase in capacity between Australia and Europe – an additional 75,000 seats annually!

This exciting development is a win-win for travellers. Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson highlights the growing demand for direct long-haul flights, and this new route delivers exactly that. Perth takes centre stage, becoming the farthest non-stop destination served from Paris, surpassing the previous record held by Air France.
