Jeju Air, a major South Korean low-cost carrier, has announced a temporary reduction of its flight schedule by 10-15% following a fatal crash involving one of its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The decision comes as authorities investigate the cause of the crash, which occurred at Muan International Airport, resulting in the tragic loss of 179 lives.

The airline's CEO, Kim Yi-bae, stated that the schedule reduction is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of passengers and crew. He emphasized that the airline is fully cooperating with the investigation and will take all necessary steps to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
"We understand that this schedule reduction may cause inconvenience to our passengers, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption it may cause," said Mr. Kim. "However, the safety of our passengers and crew is our top priority, and we will not compromise on that."
The airline has also pledged to provide full support to the families of the victims and to assist with the ongoing investigation.
