Ranked third globally, India’s Top LCC Secures Spot

India's leading Low Cost Carrier Indigo sets to become the third most valuable airline globally in terms of market capitalisation by surpassing the Southwest Airline on Wednesday. Indigo Airlines continues to draw the interest of the investors with higher market shares in the Indian market and strategic expansion plans into the international destinations by maintaining  the lower fares.

IndiGo has overtaken Southwest Airlines as the world's third most valuable airline. In terms of market capitalization, it ranks behind Delta Air Lines (second) and Ryanair (first).

IndiGo Airlines, one of India's top airlines, has proven market resilience and expansion in the face of adversity. IndiGo has announced good operational performance, including increasing passenger traffic and load factors, showing high demand for air travel in Indian markets.

Indigo's stock price has continued to increase from the last quarter with significant growth plans adding to its high market capitalization. On April 10, 2024, IndiGo's shares were valued at INR 3,806 on India's National Stock Exchange.
